NEWSLETTER 2009
As I sit down to put together this Newsletter it seems like yesterday that we were writting the Newsletter for 2008.
We would like to thank all Associations/Instructors-Students and Parents for their support this year
and to wish you all a HAPPY CHRISTMAS & A PROSPEOUS NEW YEAR
2009 has been a difficult year for Martial Arts with many clubs /associations being affected by the recession and present economic situstion.We have to develop new marketing tools to encourage people to take up martial arts and join our clubs.We have come up with a few new ideas-we can share with you-please contact Mike Farmer.
Seemaf consolidated its position during 2009 and we are now ready to expand during 2010.
During the year we held a number of Seminars with outside High Ranking Instructors including Kyusho Jitsu-FIGHT Israeli Self Defence and we have a number of seminars planned for 2010.Our Summer Camp had a number of Top Instructors but I was sad that the attendance was down on previous years.
QUALIFICATIONS-GRADINGS;We have continued to develop our Coaching Qualifications and we are pleased to announce that the majority of our Instructors are progressing through the Coaching Levels.
Once again the Government has come out with another piece of Legislation by announcing that anyone working with children will have to be registered with a new body the Independent Safeguarding Authority-thuis means an addition check on top of the CRB Certification
From June 2010 there will be a combined Application which we wil have to do.I will start sending forms out when they are received.Failure to comply could mean a fine of ?5000

Gold Medals in 2009-Selected for England she took part in theJuniior & World
Karate Championships.
SIFU CLIFFORD HYDE GOMES;Has been invited to the Action Martial Arts Magazines Hall of Fame of Honour and Spirit Award in Atlantic City USA to be inducted as an Ambassador to Martial Arts
MASTER "SAYA"RICHARDS MORRIS following on from our contacts was invited to France where he has helped set up Bando Thaing Governing Body in France and will help in training and gradings;
MIKE FARMER was promoted to 8 Dan Self Defence by the World Self Defence Association as well as European Vice President-He has Also been asked to help establish ISDO in Greece
We will continue to expand our links wit World Wide groups throughout 2010
We would like to congratulate all students who took and passed gradings this year.I know you are all a credit to your associations.
The Website is being updated-Our Registered Black Belt Page is expanding with more Black Belts passing our Coaching Qualification.
To continue to develop and provide a good service we need your input-If you have any ideas suggestions on how we can improve please let us know
